Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences,Hisar has a glorious past, formidable present and a promising future for development of veterinary education and research. The broader mandate of the college is to protect animal health and increase production through creative higher education and research in veterinary sciences.

About Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Hisar:An independent University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences has been established w.e.f. 1.12.2010 in pursuance of the Haryana Act No. 7 of 2010 notified on 7th April, 2010. The new University has been named in the cherished memory of Lala Lajpat Rai, a great patriot, the foremost freedom fighter, an ardent social reformer and a versatile writer. Lala Lajpat Rai, popularly known as “Punjab Kesri”, did his early legal practice at Hisar and also served as a Member and Secretary of the Hisar Municipality. The College of Veterinary Sciences and the College of Animal Sciences, earlier the constituent colleges of CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar has now been incorporated in this newly established University. The college of Animal Sciences is merged into College of Veterinary Sciences.
LLRUVAS 2016 Eligibility Criteria:
LLRUVAS 2016 Educational Qualifications: The candidates under all categories (except SC category) must have passed 10+2 in each of the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and obtained 50% marks in aggregate of these subjects from a "recognized*/approved Board of School Education having equivalence by Council of Boards of School Education, New Delhi/CBSE/ICSE and also by Board of School Education Haryana, Bhiwani" and 40% marks in aggregate for SC category only. For SC category the minimum qualifying marks will be 38%.
Age limit for LLRUVAS 2016 Exam: Minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years on or before 31st December 2016.
LLRUVAS 2016 Eligibility Details: The list of Boards/Universities un-recognized/un-approved/not found equivalent by Haryana Board/CBSE/ICSE and Council of Boards of School Education, New Delhi is given at Annexure-II.If any other Board is not found equivalent for 10th and/or 10+2, the certificate issued by such boards will be invalid and the candidates possessing such certificates will not be eligible for the admission; if any such candidate is admitted, his/her admission shall be cancelled at any time by the Registrar besides disciplinary action as per rules.
LLRUVAS 2016 Exam Pattern:
a) All the candidates (except NRI) seeking admission to B.V.Sc & A.H. Programme will have to appear in the Entrance Test (ET) to be held at Hisar on 12th July 2016 (Sunday) at 10.00 A.M.
The candidate must report by 09.30 am at the allotted centre of the Entrance Test
b) The applicants who fulfil the minimum eligibility conditions or have appeared in 10+2 or equivalent exam with required subjects (even if result is yet to be declared) will be eligible for the entrance test
